The whole reason that I wanted to do this spread is to highlight local artists of Waltham Forest. The reason why I have chosen this concept is because I feel like nowadays in the 21st Century we don’t know much about makers and where it originated from and the influences that culture and community has had on the art and the makers. That is the reason why I wanted to create by bringing history of Waltham Forest that you might not know of and modernising it and added which cultures have influenced Waltham Forest the most. I wanted to keep the history as raw as possible and not change it. Our DNA is made out of the culture that we stem from and the influences that community has on us and it is important to be proud of where you come from.

Our DNA is made out of the culture that we stem from and the influences that community has on us and it is important to be proud of where you come from.
Nowadays in the 21st Century we don’t know much about makers and where they originated from. We also don’t really think about the influences that culture and community has had on the art and the makers. The Borough of Culture is highlighting the local artists of Waltham Forest bringing the history of Waltham Forest that you might not know of, keeping the history as raw as possible but modernising it, blending in cultures that have influenced Waltham Forest the most.
