Screenshots
Photoshop
This is a print screen indicating that i am on photoshop and clicking on the file ‘open’ to access my photos in order to photoshop.
This is a print screen of me showing how i have chosen the picture to edit on photoshop.
Then after opening the image i went down to the create new layer icon at the bottom i done this because when editing i can see the changes I have created to the image.
This shows the new layer icon i clicked on.
When I created the new layer I went to’ image’ on the horizontal bar then went down to adjustments.
After going onto adjustments, a tab menu comes up with all these different adjustments I can do the image.
So, firstly i clicked onto the brightness/contrast. This allows you to change the tonal range of the image. This meant that if i chose it to be more bright it increases the tonal value, however, if i increase the contrast it will decrease value and expand shadows.
This is a screenshot showing that after that i have clicked on the exposure hover tab, this will help edit my images also, this is by ensuring that it enhances and corrects the colour and tonality of an image. This also means that adjustment layers are used to adjust the tonal range and colour in order to balance out the image.
The exposure tab is used to adjust the tonal range which i used to make the image lighter. I also adjusted the gamma correction sightly to the image darker which allows the exposure to stand out more.
Then i chose the vibrance bar this allows the image to have an increase in intensity of the more muted colours in the image which leaves the saturated colours alone. This also allows skin tones in images from becoming overly saturated and unnatural and this was specifically used in my images because i used the faces of models in my photoshoots.
This bar shows how when increasing the vibrance it allowed me to see the increase in intensity. On the other hand, the saturation can be increased and decreased according to the skin tone of the model.
This shows how i also used Hue and Saturation, this specific adjustment enables me to adjust the colours of my images based on the lightness. Hue means the colour used in my images, whereas saturation is the strength and abundance in that colour. Therefore the lightness in the images and adjustments to the lightness is what controls the brightness value.
This is the bar showing how the Hue, Saturation and Lightness is on the bar. I decided to not to use the Hue because i did not want my images to have a undertone of one specific colour. However i did use the Saturation and Lightness. I increased the lightness slightly in the images because it needed to be more bright. The saturation was also adjusted according the my model skin tone.
I used the spot healing tool to get rid of equipments or unnecessary accessories on the model or surrounding the model that could diminish the overall outcome of the photoshoot and image. I also used the sharpening tool to sharpen the image. For example; my models hair i used the sharpening tool to define her hair strands (baby hairs) on the side of her face. I also used the Quick Selection tool to select the chair in the image, then clicked on the stamp tool and then clicked on the background and grasp the colour of the background, and highlighted over it and then resulted in getting rid of the chair in the background that was not needed. This was done through the keyboard tool as i clicked on “control- alt- click on the image”.
These are the images that i have chosen to show how i have edited and used the tools on photoshop. I used the saturation tool to enhance her skin colour from cool tone to warm in all of my images. I also, used the spot healing tool to get rid of her hair band on her wrist, this shows that the image is more professional and unique.
IN DESIGN
I went into in design software and wnet to file, then new and then i selected print.

I then when all clicked print all of these options came up which were paper sizes and selected A3. I done the same process twice, because i needed two A3 in order to make the double page spread.
This shows i have edited the background and made fit better according to the theme and photos taken in the photoshoot.
This shows how i have done it three times and put it on top of my background.
This shows that i have not yet written my title though for my main text i done the first two letters using the drop cap this was by highlighting the first two letters and using the drop cap to change the colour. This attracts the audience eye to the main text, hence the use of using this tool.
This shows how i have used the drop cap icon.
