Project Title
The ‘makers’ magazine speed

Section 1: Rationale (Approx 100 words)
In Photography, I had a very basic knowledge at the outset of the course. I didn’t know the features of a camera, different styles, techniques and genres of photography there are. Throughout the course my interest deepened. I realised how much work goes into taking one photo and the connotations and meanings one photo can have behind it. My passion for photography in my final project will help me focus and keep motivated. In terms of my personal difficulties such as time keeping, organisation skills and problem solving, I feel that these have been much better and in my final project I will need to improve these areas further. 110 words

Section 2: Project Concept (approx 200 words)
The concept of my project is going to be ‘Makers’. The target audience I would like to appeal to is young people - 16 +, who are aspiring to lead creative pathways. I would to educate as well as inspire them about the history of Waltham Forest makers. By educating this group they may feel inspired and want to choose being a maker as a career choice.  I  intend to produce an image or a series of images, to represent the makers of this community throughout history and  because we have become so much more multicultural ‘makers’ also reflect not only Waltham Forest but the different cultures that have become a community. I would like to incorporate the specific idea of a maker and what they have brought or been influenced by culturally. I would like to use the idea of a model or models held up by string and to look like they’re being ‘made’ by a maker.
I will need to research the cultural history of Waltham Forest and also the types of product that could represent different cultures. This could be clothing, fabric, art work, pottery, food. After researching, I will need to focus on the types of fabric or materials I will need to order. 209 words

Section 3: Evaluation (approx 50 words)

I am planning to video myself, evaluating/reflecting for the duration of this project. Video recording is efficient -and I can be independent and not have to rely on a scribe. I am planning to record myself every day - if I did it once a week, I would forget some of the events/ issues during the week. 57 words
