Distribution Method


The distribution methods that i chose are both digital and print, the reason for this is because i wanted to make sure that all my images are distributed in various forms so it can reach a wide range of the audience. A way i believe how my final product of images will be distributed is through social medias such as Instagram and Insider, these two platforms chosen are essential for promoting my double page spread and my product because Insider on Snapchat is a platform that promotes upcoming artists photographs and this is a vital way of showing my product that can be accessible to the target audience as they use social media quite a lot and it will allow me to explain the concept of my double page spread. On the other hand, for the print version i would be using magazines such as Dazed and Confused, Vogue, Aesthetica, Waltham Forest News and the London Borough of Culture’s website and social medias. This will grab the attention of shoppers and by passers, this is effective because it is a form of advertisement. Another distribution method that i have chosen is the college exhibition, the reason for this, is that i want to exhibit the photos. Another form of distribution method is a promotional video, this simply promotes the product, the quality of the video is going to reflect the process of the double page spread. In the process of promoting my double page spread through these platforms i will also be charging and receiving income from these resources, this is especially through Ads that you can not skip. Also to ensure that my double page spread reaches the wider audience i will also offer to pay companies to have my magazines featured in theirs. Overall, this maximises the audience and reaches more consumers, thus this means that the input and output process of goods and income would be continuously working as this use of using both print and digital allows it to be accessible to the audience.

In terms of these methods of distribution relating to my initial idea, though some are accessed through the wider audience despite this being aimed local, this allows the double page spread not only to be accessed locally within the borough but it also allows members of waltham forest to access it around the UK and even the world, this is an effective form of distribution as it can be accessed by a wide range of audiences and the message behind these images are portrayed, acknowledge and comprehended by them. As the most important idea behind the distribution method is reaching all people around the UK to ensure the message is being heard and seen.
Another reason why I chose these distribution methods is because the target audience I have chosen which are 16+ teenagers, this is because in this contemporary society, social media platforms are being used to promote and advertise products therefore, this is a quick way and an effective way to draw the attention of the audience who are constantly on their phones. This is a form of quick social media advertising, that uses ads to promote work and products. Another form would be having a promotional video for the magazine, this allows it to be accessed everywhere from laptop, phone and tv, thus this allows the wider audience and not just teenagers to acknowledge and see what the magazine entails and the purpose of it.

Evaluation Introduction My personal project is based around the underlying theme: Welcome to the Forest:Radicals, Makers, Fellowship.
