production - the reason of picking these images
The reason for the chosen images
During the whole process of taking photos during the shoot, i came to the result of only picking nine of them. The reason for this, is because i felt like those images were most effective in explaining its message and concept and also the quality such as lighting and composition was good.
Another reason to why i chose those images for my final product was because in some of my photos there was a black line because of the shutter speed therefore i could not use those images as it affected the images quite a lot. Also during my meetings with my teacher, we sat down together and discussed which pictures were the best in its form of photography such as lightning, composition and contrast and mise en scene. These pictures also show a variation of shots such as close ups, landscapes and portrait. The close ups i used, was used to portray the details in the makeup, to show the intricate purity behind artwork. Thus, these pictures hit the concept the most, as the images portrayed the models being made my someone etc. for example the clay on the face indicates that a maker is producing her to be something or moulding her into a specific face. In terms of the costumes, it shows the diversity there is in Waltham Forest, this means that even though my model is from portuguese descent, the asian clothes indicates the effect culture as on the borough and overall essentially the people living in that society, as integrating culture within the lives of waltham forest show the diversity there is within this society. Another point would be how her posture is portrayed showing how she is a mannequin, this simply means that we all in society are plain mannequins, though with culture, races and different background integrated, this shows how we have moulded our lives into the colourful societies such as Waltham Forest, rather than stay as a plain mannequin and shows how she is being made and created by the societies impact such like a mannequins movement when you move it yourself. Another aspect is how i wanted to cooperate my historical art research which was William Morris within my photos to educate the audience with the history of Waltham Forest, and how it has developed throughout the years and this specific art work indicates that. Some of these would also be in the college exhibition.
The next few pages below portray the chosen and edited version of my images:
